Venue – Required: Wi-fi (wireless internet) capability in auditorium and conference rooms

note: wi-fi is a must. Do I read the "OR" above to mean that wi-fi is not required if computer and projector are available? If so, I disagree.
I'll go along with that - I said wi-fi is optional to computers only because in some buildings there is a computer at every desk, so it would be feasible to get on the internet - this was not well thought out, however, because computers require student log-ins - so yes, I will check out the wi-fi situation (Sara)
greeting area/foyer (Note: There needs to be free access in and out of the building! Locked doors are not good).
good point there Joe, as of this year they instituted card access only. However, at PodCamp Boston there was security screening people by badges, so we can do the same and have someone at the door to let people in and out. No way around that, that I can see. (Sara)
Someone at the door would be fine. I understand the need for security in the city. I was at a StartupWeekend a couple weeks ago, and it was in a building that required an elevator key. Consequently people were locked out of the building on several occasions bcuz those upstairs ignored their cell phones. Bad!
at least 6 conference rooms seating 30 people each with doors to block sound from outside hallway space where talking is permissible
we actually changed this to 10 conference rooms (Sara)
Not required but would be nice: area where food is permitted
places for sitting – benches/couches (I would view this as a must)
we need to spend some time looking at Xavier building and seeing what we have to work with - if we need to bring extra chairs and tables, or if there are places to hang out already (Sara)
